Understanding microneedling

We know that for some people, anything with the word needle in it can sound intimidating. But the needles used for microneedling are so minuscule, they don’t cause bleeding or pain. 

Instead, they create tiny cuts, or microchannels, in the top layer of your skin. Even though these microchannels don’t bleed or hurt, they do trigger your body to start its natural healing process. 

This process increases levels of collagen and elastin in the area to rebuild your broken skin tissue. The increased levels of collagen and elastin, along with other skin proteins, result in tighter, fresher, and more youthful skin that gives your face a rejuvenated look. 

Understanding platelet-rich plasma (PRP)

To harness these factors, Leslie draws a small amount of your blood and puts it in a centrifuge. This device spins your blood, separating the platelets from the rest of your blood to create a platelet-rich plasma solution.
